W reg l series 137000!

Won't be going with AF again. 30 in a few weeks and they quoted £1000 to insure a 14 year old freelander. Got my series insured with them for a good price, no doubt that will increase ridiculously!

It has a bed in the roof and the front seats turn into two singles or one double. I'm open to sensible offers at the moment. If I got the work done it would probably fetch £2500 but just haven't the time.

Looking at selling or swapping this for a van/freelander/disco. It's a 1988 2.0 petrol. Professionally converted by Holdsworth. I have redecorated inside and fixed odds and ends. It's MOT'd til September/October and taxed til September. It needs 2 front wheel bearings, passenger drive shaft...

GB springs are the way to go. The service is brilliant!

If they are reversed. Would the rear lights still work normally? I have got a wiring diagram somewhere. When I replaced the switches I labelled and returned the wires to the same places. I bloody hate lectrix!

I have fitted a new stalk and switch for my '82 series three. I only have all the lights when the switch is switched to sidelights. As soon as the switch is moved to dip the main lights go out apart from sidelights. No dip, main beam or flash on this setting. Any ideas anybody? Stumped!

Cracking will get on that tomorrow evening! Getting there slowly!

Hi Blackburn, took the bottom plate off and it went straight in. Refitted the bottom plate but in doing so lost a fair bit of oil. I guess I can take the top plate off and refill?

Typo! "grind" instead of going! Damn phone!

Plenty of slip on it. It's the original relay. By the looks of it the bottom cover has a slight lip on it and stands out further than the body itself. This is what's fouling the chassis. Was wondering whether to going it down so it's flush with the body of the relay. It will fit for sure then.

Has anybody had trouble fitting a steering relay into a galvanised chassis? Have been trying to fit mine but it seems to be fouling the cylindrical hole in the chassis, side closest to the rad. It is a second hand relay. Am thinking about buying a new one but fear I might come across the same...

Haha no I'm not a rivet counter. Just want this thing on the road now. Will take a look at those links. Just want a big box of relative nuts and bolts I can turn to when I need them! Just trying to get the bulkhead bolts out tonight. Properly stuck in. Once that's bolted on I can start link...

Hi everybody, looking for somebody in the Herefordshire area to weld my series three bulkhead. Need two new footwells replacing and drivers bulkhead corner replacing. I would have a go but will make right mess of it. All panels are supplied. Thanks in advance.

I had a series when I started driving and then had two defender 110 's but have gone full circle back to series three on GB Springs. So much more character and fun to drive! And GB Springs are excellent.

I gotta TTI set from Maplins for £70. Everything needed is with it. Can't fault it.
