    Nope I have 4 rear hubs and shafts! Fronts still 10 spline. I confused the bit the seal runs on as a bearing seat.

    The shafts I have got have integral drive flanges? I do now have 4 hubs 4 shafts and 2 good stubs for a 10 spline going spare if your interested?

    I now have a complete 24 spline axle, gonna swap hubs etc over later. Decided after struggling to find good 10 spline bits that it was time to move to a 24 spline!

    Have discovered this evening that the shafts don't fit, as they have a bearing face near the outer end. Looking at it I would imagine the stub axles are different.

    My passenger doors temperamental, opened from the inside it'll open every time, whereas the outside you have to have the knack, mines due to a stump jumping out at a pay and play but it may be worth giving the door a sharp tug from the inside whilst the handles pulled before you start cutting...

    I'm looking to put a smaller one one that isn't a stupid colour! Thanks though, there's a choice of 36 & 48 spline, and I haven't got a socket here to fit the steering wheel or a decent persuading stick to get it off the spline.

    I know quite a few drifters, the few I know that work or had worked at fab shops won't just weld it up, this is only from experience, one of the lads I know doesn't weld the gears together at all just drops a plate in either side and welds that to the gears, this has been tested on a rx7 drift...

    Welded like that it will almost certainly break, cut some pieces of nice thick steel (5mm+) that will drop in the gaps and weld them in, it will be a hell of a kit stronger then

    Can I fit a 24 spline diff and shafts into my 10 spline axle casing and hubs? Killed another rear diff but can't find a good 10 spline to replace it with.

    low range problem

    Has it got an aftermarket radio fitted? Mine was a nightmare until I moved the radio, wouldn't stay in low range as the radio stuck out too far and would knock the lever back into neutral. It's worth checking the simple things first!

    My RRC Driver's door handle snapped off! Stupid cold!!

    I've swapped handles many a time, disco 1 fit but are black not polished. The pivot pin will only come out one way, make sure you have hold of the plunger properly as the sping will make a decent missile out of it if you don't!

    Does anyone know of any long term fixes for the handbrake on a 200tdi? I've had the drum apart on numerous occasions cleaned up the backplate so there is no burrs to catch the shoes and cleaned up the expander a few times rebuilding with copper grease, it'll then work for a while then decide...

    It's not the alternator, it increases with road speed not engine speed.

    Just had a look at it, there's play in the transfer box output, and with no front prop it's still whining. Guess that's that for the transfer box bearings then!

    Yes that would be the service brake ie the footbrake both methods would work. I was talking about the handbrake.

    Ours does have a 4x4 mode but all that does is counter rotate the opposite wheel so the prop doesn't spin. Therefore you cannot use it to test a transmission brake.
