    Rear Window Sealant

My 90 has the old style rear door where the door skin is in several parts. The rear window is held in place with metal brackets from behind, with sealant in the gap between the window and the door. The current sealant is old and cracking, and needs reaplacing. Can anyone tell me what type of...

The foam inside the cup holders is actually only intended as a temporary measure, I agree the white foam doesn't quite fit with the rest of the box. The plan is to find some PVC piping of the right diameter and use this to line the cup holders.

    My project 90 rebuild

Looks good. I like the look of those new radius and trailing arms, and the chassis wasn't too bad either which is always a big help. Look forward to more pictures.

Thank you sir! I encourage you to take on the project, it was quite good fun. My last step will be to add some black trim around the edges to tidy it up a bit, and then some carpet in the bottom of the box.

Cheers. I choose to ignore those comments. I come on this forum from time to time out of interest in Land Rovers. I couldn't care less about "post counts" etc.

Finishing the covering of the box, and then made a cushion for the lid by wrapping foam in vinyl. You can also see the frie extinguisher bracket bolted on to the back of the box, and the blocks of foam inside the drink holders which I used to stop drinks rattling and hold them a bit more...

Next came the covering of the box with black vinyl. First I made some cardboard templates, then we began to cover it.

I decided that I wanted drink holders in the front - for a bit of luxury you know.

Here you can see a side section of the box which has been cut out and is then being sanded.

We decided to construct the box out of plywood. Drawing up the designs on the wood:

You may notice that the bottom of the box is angled. We decided to do this to match the angle on the seat box so that the top would be flat. I've looked at other centre boxes and the top seems to be on an angle, so they must not be designed to be flat.

First off, I looked up some dimensions online to get an idea of the size. Then I measured up inside the vehicle to determine the exact measurements. My Dad then drew up some designs in a computer programme called Archicad (used for designing buildings).

    Homebuilt Centre Cubby Box

Hi all, I recently finished building a centre cubby box for my Ninety. It seemed a lot cheaper than buying one om the UK and getting it shipped, and the cost of buying one in New Zealand is a bit ridiculous. So...I thought I would post some pictures of the build (Not as exciting as the...

Update on Progress - with Pictures!

I should also say that yeaterday we finished fitting a new driver's door seal to the LR. The old one was torn where the door latch had caught it, since it was the wrong type and stuck out too far. This was a very fiddly job. Cutting the exact correct angle, and then gluing the corners was very...

Update on Progress - with Pictures!

Good on you, our home made brackets are definitely stronger than the genuine ones I have seen, and it's always good fun to make something yourself. In NZ it is often cheaper to make things yourself, as parts which are cheap in the UK have a big price increase when sold in NZ due to the high...
