removed the trim around the speedo etc and looked into dash i could see the motor / cogs moving into various positions when i push hevac buttons to various settings. could there be somethimg just stopping the air from blowing onto windscreen?

need some more help please, i have only a faint air supply blowing up onto windscreen as far as i can tell both motors are working when i removed pollen filters. i kept pushing different buttons on hevac and it worked once but soon as i turned engine off it went back to being very faint air...

had 2 new door lock actuators fitted central locking and alarm working perfectly now :dance::dance: just need to sort out slight wobble on steering wheel

right got boot open and there is power going to the tailgate actuator once the tailgate button is pushed but its not working is this connected to the drivers door and micro switches ?

but the battery became totally knackered so in theory when the new battery was put on the boot and central locking should work ?

had battery checked as well this morning just to play safe. it ok like i said previous it brand new but double checked anyway. the boot did work before it went to a garage to have coil pack and fuel pump fitted and that battery was ok when it went down came back month later no boot opening up...

just checked again with better volt meter showing 12.36v when stood up then put lights / heater and radio on and held it @ 2000 and was showing 13.44v.

right gonna double check everything in morning battery brand new less than week old will start with connections then volt reading. Hopefully alternator is ok don't fancy telling mrs i gotta spend more. Just had coil pack and fuel pump fitted couple of weeks ago. Must admit am missing driving the...

right just checked it and im showing about 13.8 on my basic meter will borrow better one and double check reading. If voltage is low i'm guessing this could be causing central locking/ alarm problems ?

Showing 12volts and about 13.5 when running.

right just checked voltage and its all good so will look to check out the micro switches hopefully on Monday.

brand new battery on all charging ok and holding its charge. will check out switches and report back. (once ive finished the chores that her in doors has set)!!

p reg 96 4.6 V8 - alarm stopped working, central locking did work apart from passenger door. It then stopped working with the fob but would work with the key for awhile then that stopped !!!!! Boot wont open either. Havent tried much yet coz don't no where to start really.

:mad:Anyone in cornwall who's a whizz at p38 central locking problems or if not is there anyone who wants to watch me burn the annoying thing

had the same with my 4.6 v8 tried new filters maf sensor etc but problem still there took to garage and no faults were showing so i left it with them to hopefully sort out. Turned out it needed new coil pack.

Must admit it was the worst out of the lot but we learn and move on !
