Ac runs on a separate belt iirc so most likely to be crank pulley failing- the damper part fails allowing the outer part to stop spinning.

Mine was the same. New pins and a clean.sorted it.

That's how i did mine, just turned it by hand. Get new pins tho as the rubber seal on the pins swell and cause them to stick as well. Best to use proper rubber grease also.

Could be just inlet manifold gasket waterway is that end I think. Seen several head gasket diagnosis that were just the inlet gasket. Garages frequently condemn head gasket because they are so prone, when sometimes it isn't. Worth a look first before ripping the head off.

If it has aircon I'dguess 105 amp one. Won't hurt either way as long as it fits the same.

Repaired both of mine for less than £70 for both sides. If you are confident in your ability seal kits (£10) new sliders (£12) and pistons (£9 each) are easily available.

Connects 2 do all kinds of adapters to enable ipod connection. Not cheap tho and frequently mean disconnecting any multiplay cd you have.

When doing similar on rear axles I always marked the nut and counted the turns then you make sure the nut is back where it was originally.
