Aren't there clearance issues if you have a fbh? Think the exhaust is in the way so it has to be modded.

Done a few with the clamp bolt siezed it is possible to lever the clamp out of the way so you can get the battery out then you can sort the bolt out with the tray removed. Don't pry on the battery for obvious reasons.

I would say depends on why it cracked. If it cracked on a mounting point through stress in the impact then probably not if however car was in gear and damage is through gears exiting the casing I would push for clutch replacement. Expect to be asked to contribute tho as there will be some...

Transponders can be copied into the spare giving you two keys with the same transponder code. As long as you have one working key.

Most good key cutting places will clone your original key for a lot less than that.

There is a lot of this 'introduce yourself first' posts on here, before anyone will help, yet when you do if you mention you have a Freelander you get one post or abuse so whats the point? I frequent a lot of car forums and this one is by far the worst for this. Just my 2p.

Think the real issue is the rear belts as the belt is put on the pulleys and the tool then stretches it to enable you to refit the pulleys.

Most places will duplicate the chip from the original key so you don't need to reprogram if you want an extra key.
