You shouldn't hear the pump running when your driving under normal conditions. Heard mine twice, once when the injector copper washers failed allowing air into fuel system and the other time was when the air bleed valve at the fuel filter "vanished", reataining air in the fuel system. Even then...

Push the screw connector up the air line out of the way and cut the air pipe directly behind the olive with a sharp blade. Slide off old connector and push pipe into air bag.

It's moving the steering wheel that takes the time:)

Direct the breather pipe into a catch tank and block off the hole in the air intake pipe (a wine cork fits but doesn't look OEM). If you are trying to get the engine to run on clean air you must do the EGR and stop oil vapour getting in.

Why have you bought a decat pipe if there wasn't one on there originally anyway? Get rid of it. My 10p engine (current value probably) has done 230k miles and is probably only just run in ! BTW - no cat or centre silencer on mine.
