its not so much having the dosh its not having the time..... can get an after market carb Click Here for about £45 and i guess it comes all set up... MOT just round the corner so need her running for that as shes parked on the road.... Any one had a after marker carb and anyone got any...

ok so i can order a kit and I'm sure I can take bits off and pit other bits on,,,, but is there any setting up or adjustment that's needed after the rebuild? I'm very tight on time thats why i was considering the Replacment route... ???

OK so I have soerted the half shaft issue (only too about a month),,, and now have a new Problem, she wont start :mad: OK the fuel was rank so fresh was put in and the sedimenter cleaned, new fuel filter and hose right up to the webber carb... Back filed everything and tipped a cap full of...

Well I doubt i have them back in the same place, but once i greased it all up I was surprised how smooth it all felt???? Hope that's a good sign... If its wrong how will i know and what should i watch out for? thanks Andy

WOW ! well its only taken about 4 weeks but I got around to pulling the diff. I had to take the gearing from the housing to get the broken half shaft out and i just wondering if i have re assembled it correctly ? I wound the adjuster plates in as far as i could by hand then un-wound them...

OK ok LOL parts on order and ill be making a start at the weekend (well its better than painting the living room) Now Diffs..... Is it worth upgrading the diffs to 3.54 (i think) ratio and has anyone got a good pair for sale that will fit straight in??? :-) O the smell of EP90, here I come...

evening all... well its taken a while but i had a look and the off side shaft is a bit shorter then it should be :-( Question.... If I pull both half shafts what's the chances of pushing the broken end out from the other side ( i have a long stick that should be long enough) Thanks Andy

I think I have the crown nut with a split pin..... so does that make it ser 2 10 spline?? too early for this thinking stuff

Tried to bump start my SWB 1971 ser 3, lifted the clutch and had a bit of a bang, now only have drive in low and High 4 wheel drive. Rear Prop is spinning but back wheels aren't…. Would I be correct in thinking a half shaft or are there any more likely causes??? Wonder what I’m doing...

Hi. thanks for the comments and ideas... just to let you know she walked through the mot with no advisory s. The clutch is working much better now... ill try rebleeding and maybe a new clutch in the spring....well ive had this lady for over 10 years and not changed it so maybe its time lol

hi, that's all been done. last bit was done a few weeks ago but couldn't take it on a drive as run out of time.... fingers crossed for the mot and ill have to do better taking her out for a spin more often :-)
