Hi, Just a quick question... the power connector on the back of my ser 3 petrol starter motor is very loos and hence not making a good enough connection. Can I get to it and tighten it or do i need to order another one? Thanks Andy

how long do you think to do everything ??? Ive pulled a diff when i bust a rear half shaft but the swivels and uj's are unknown ??? thanks Andy

I am, but if I could swap the diff Friday at home, then that's one less job to do when i get to a mates place on Saturday to swap the swivels! My garage isn't wide enough to extract the shafts, and only have the one day at my mates to get the swivels swapped :-( I want a workshop!!!

yep, ill stick an order in tomorrow..... But i should get enough clearance by just unbolting the drive flange apposed to removing the stub axle ?? thanks Andy

OK i think this is the seal Axle case oil seal 217400G and I don't think its part of the swivel kit??? If it isn't and i have to order a pair,,, are there any other nits that I should get at the same time ?

ok Ill have to check the box but this is what i ordered RTC3690G are the ones on front half shafts diffrent to those of the prop shafts? Am I correct in thinking that seals are part of the swivel housing kit? DA3181 so I could change the diff, then access the seal when I change the swivels ...

Hi, I need to swap my front diff on a swb ser3 landy, my question is how far do i have to pull the half shafts out to clear the diff? Do I have to strip the hubs down or can I just unbolt the drive flange and get enough movement there? I will be changing the swivels and I have ordered new UJ’s...

Well Ive been around for a while so not many restrictions on my licance :) any muddy work would be done in the ser's so this is just a car replacement. Must admit ive been very happy with the 306 so im kind of liking the 406 idea :-)

Evening All. I seam to have a need to go digging into my front axle to locate and fix what I think could be a very dry bearing... so while I'm in there it may be a good time to fit something to improve top speed (or better still reduce the engine revs) Just trying to gauge what may options are...

OK big catch up to round off the saga! Well most of everything was changed and updated... the Smoking carb was replaced and is now on the engine and running like a dream. the zenith copy was working as well so that's back on the shelf as a back up. The main problem turned out to be a duff coil...
