Mine has heated front seat but not heated windscreen unless they both woking with the same switch as heated front seat. I think I should try tommorow morning...:D

Heated windscreen? is this standard to all Freelander? As I dont think I dont have this. How do you switch it on? I dont see any button for windscreen heater on my Freelander

So what do you think about the propose bypass MHM? Do you think it will work just like making holes on the thermo?

very very true...with my KV6 on the cold day the bottom radiator hose very cold compare to the top radiator hose. you wouldnt believe the temp diff between the two. I believe this is causing the thermal shock and leads to HGF. As my reply earlier it is very hard to or maybe impossible to drill...

100% agree. I wish someone can do one of these mods with KV6 thermostat :rolleyes:

so you already used the new head gasket....QED thermostat....n still HG gone...hmmm....dont tell me you also already used the new bottom rail??!!

Do they have a cooler thermostat? Sorry but first time I read about this. Do you know the part number? Does it only 1.8 or they have one for kv6?

So when you hear hiss that means hgf/leaking hoses?

maybe wise to use QED remote thermostat this time....

I did mine and it was free at LR. It took about 1 hr. It couldnt really tell whether you have leak somewhere if the you are trying to find out. Well if it free might as well do it....:D
