The oil pump does not matter about timing.......but please lube the oil pump with vaseline or assembly lube to help it create the vacuum it will need to draw the oil up and start pumping it through the engine.
So do you have the cam specs to do the phasing/dialling in?

They are powder coated, everything is, even the rocker covers, the only thing that is painted is the expansion tank and the crank damper pulley, its done with 2K and that I have done myself, don't have the space for powder coating.
This is a special tool.....lol.....lol...I made for driving the oil pump.
I used this tool to prime the oil pump, then fitted the new oil filter and started priming the rest of the engine until the oil came through the heads supplying the rocker shafts.

This is sound advice........I have flashy alloys with road tyres for every day and tar road use, but if there is a hint I might go off the tar I fit my steels with the more aggressive tyres.
