If you are driving on the ice and you go through...insurance will not cover it.

Coil springs,,,merican cars don't even hace coil springs anymore, havent for ten years. Its all about torsion bars now baby.

All you have to do is look a at the shackles that hold the springs to the frame. If they are short and the end of the spring is close to the frame than it is not lifted, if they are long, about five inches that it is lifted. If it is lifted and you order a 2" lift for it you will not beable to...

Welcome to the forum. I can tell you from experience that this is the best rover forum in the world.;) Age wise we are pretty diverse, but we do have a snot nose club, Driving mad is our current member if you choose to join him:D But generally age is not a factor we really think about.

Don't tell me you never seen a spring over?? Its the poor mans lift kit and here it is mostly done when only three inches is needed. Its called a spring over because you unbolt the axles from the springs and put the springs on top of the axle and bolt it back together. Have to change the pitman...

On our Macks we pull the ground wire off of the frame....it breaks continuity to every electrical part and kills the engine. Probably will not work if you have a mechanical lift pump??

I visited the landrover usa site today to see if we will be getting the td5 anytime soon. Looks like there are no plans for introducing a diesel model here anytime soon. All that is available here is the RRC, LR2, and LR3. No disco or freelander anymore:(

No mods necessary for a droop, just go real fast and jump alot of Berms until the springs bust out:D 2" lift can be done with a spring over.

And they work as well as an alternator or water pump rebuild kit....you rebuild it every other week:D Best bet is to buy a new one and replace it, or take it off all together. Also they last alot longer if you don't allow it to kick in before the engine is at operational temp.
