You could just bypass the sedimentor with some standard fuel pipe from Halfords. By the way, the fuel pump that might need replacing is the lift pump on the on the side of the engine, should be 20 or 30 quid at the most. Something you could try is to put a bit of clear pipe between the lift...

I assume you mean the heater fan? If you have the knob that the directs the heat set to windscreen demist then the a/c comes on whatever the heater temp is set on. The a/c process "dries" the air, making demisting more effective.

Why will it invalidate the insurance? When I did the same thing the tester just put an advisory note on the MOT saying that no rear seats were fitted at the time of testing.

Before you remove the switch pull the connectors off it and join them with a short length of wire and turn the ignition on. The difflock light should come on, if it doesn't then the bulb in the dashboard could be faulty, not the switch

It six years since I replaced my diff lock switch from underneath. From what I remember removing the centre console wouldn't have helped. Here's a pic of it I couldn't actually see this. The pic was taken by holding the camera up. The job was one by feel.

Sounds like split in a hose down stream of the turbo. Was there any black smoke when it was making the noise?
