sounds like your heaters working perfectly tbh :) give your thermostat a check before yanking out the heater box, but bear in mind they aint much cop at best of times.

noise in your dash is just as the others said low water , but its the water going through your heater your hearing which is why its in dash :) pop the bonnet and the resevoir is easy to find , then just fill to the mark.

thats very nice :) mileage wouldnt bother me tbh the chevy small block is about as bullet proof as you can get, plus parts for yank v8's are usually cheeper than the equivalent rover part. spoiler is one of those marmite things, but its pukka overfinch so its spose to be there.

just modified mine due to the cold mornings, took out the standard asthmatic fan and replaced it with the fan from 200 series disco, you need to cut down the fins and make up a back plate but had it done in a couple of hours. the difference is amazing!!! it actually heats the interior and clears...

to be honest the year and mileage isnt as relevant as the condition, check out the main rust areas such as the bulkheads in good condition, rear chassis quarter and crossmember arnt hanging off etc, have good poke around looking for fluid leaks and knackered bushes, signs of impact etc iv seen...

no mate just wack it on, the arm will just compress to where it wants to be as you tighten it up. just get a bolt in as soon as you can then that will help hold it as you get other one in.
