check if the low range switch is connected or that someone has turned the wires round to make the throttle work in the low range setting rather than the high range

put a 14mm on a struggle bar and try it. Loads easier with the fan off but do-able with it on

stick a 300 tdi in there?

you shouldn't have any problems with a D2 heater....mine drys your eyes out!

ummm suspect.

put the ignition on, push down the accelorator pedal 5 times, the pump light will flash constantly and purge the system automatically. when finished start with the pedal flat down.

mine use to do that, it was a dodgy connection on the blue loom pug next to the ecu. put the ignition on, twiddle with the blue connector. if the pump fires up then it'll need to be re jioned

what he said, dip the oil, has the level risen / smell of diesel??? don't drive it cause its watering down the oil

recently changed the engine i my early td5 for a later 15p unit. all went well and shes started after the fuel purge. but when it starts the batt light stays on untill revved a ittle, then it goes off. afdter a while the batt can't be getting full vlts as the speedo, fuel guage and lights...

yes theres a lot of duff info on the td5 i find. with the right spanners its very easy to undo. and hand tight doing it back up aswell

there are special spanners DIFFLOCK - TD5 & V8 Viscous Fan Wrench Set i have these and they fan comes off very easily. other than that you need to whack them as i have said, you ain't whacking it hard enough

i'm buying one from over there, two td5s in the house is a no brainer
