WANTED....knackered auto gearbox switch

seems to only have affected the reverse switch....worth a go as its going! The td5 box has electronic control of the valves inside so without a signal that i want REVERSE it won't do it. had an oil change about 10k ago, been fine and still drives well in all other gears

went to the shops, came home , went to reverse onto drive.......nothing :doh: no R on display, no drive :doh::doh::doh: Looks as if the switch is faulty, all the other gears are fine, drive as good as ever, just no reverse. A new switch is £333+VAT now :wtf: Found a link to repairing the...

check the ecu plug for oil and the blue loom jioner under the drivers seat for dodgy connections

tweek the boost! i'll go better and use less fuel due to the turbo working harder, not the engine

all sounds good except the twin egr valves! think thats a tdv6

get the body lifted and th running gear removed and get your own chassis blasted, repaired and galved? may take a little longer but no Q isues

have you tried twaeking the boost up a little aswell? in the lr 4x4 article it tells you how to turn the boost up by altering the length of the actuator rod. This makes a great deal of difference without any major problems, can also clean up the emmmisions if ours is a bit smoky pre / post...

not strong enough in box section form i guess. tubular chassis on T45 or something even more exotic.

get a galvy chassis fitted and a new loom. Better the devil you know!

i had a tuned 200 tdi auto disco any was impressed by how quick it could shift. the later 300 tdi autos can't be easily tuned up and can lead to disapointing performance. It's easy enough to put and auto in a 90. i have one fo my td5 90 when i get a few minutes to fit tit

sounds like that will do the trick my D2 auto started to hang in first gear swap the oil first, then a couple of hundred miles do the oil and filter

there the same, but you MUST uprate the TC if doing this. personally it isn't worth the hassle.
