has the cable slipped on the selector from the gearbox. if your selecting say D but the box is in N it won't move. Are there any positions you don't get a dash display? My 2003 td5 auto recently had this problem but only in R, drove fine in al the other gears.

TB is the heavy bit, box is ok for one man if your strong like me! split them and its easy out. you must align the TC when going back in, hence th ease with the TB off. Sorry for the TB, TC abbrevs :D

i have both. The disco 2 is far more comfier has a short wheel base at 100" has ABS/TC air con and a decent heater. BUT it is wider, has fragile bumpers. They weight the same, well mine does as i have an S spec @ 2050kg. So id have a disco commercial over a 110 due to purchae price, spec and...

the transfer box issue is the Stepper motor.

there are td5s on 220+k it all depends on how you drive them, where, etc Servicings a big one. fuel pumps, fuel pressure regs, radiators are all consumable items im afraid on a td5 My mate runs a 300 tdi comercial 110, 330k on the old girl, she gets warmed up....ragged all day long pulling...

post 02 models are alot better

a v8 auto will not fit o a tdi engine. All the running gear is the same. go v8auto in the 90...there great
