im in nottingham
i know it doesnt take long to hook it up and do it - but the independant LR guy still had to down tools - drive out to my stricken RR and sort it out - so i didnt think it was too bad - and im not made of money
thats saving you £100 at least
personally - when i get the cash - i take mine to a local exhaust place which makes up stainless systems - theyve done my last 4 4x4's
mines a 4.0 with twin pipes
mine lost sync few weeks back - turns over quick but no fuel
local indy Landrover guy came out hooked it up , reset it, it started straight up
£50
job done - for now
what like this Land Range Rover Exhaust Cat Catalyst Catalitic 103 on eBay, also, Land Rover, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 19-Dec-07 16:00:33 GMT)
if by entry level you mean the lowest setting it will be on its bumps stops, and will drive awful
I saw an aution for aguy on ebay who can re-program each setting to different levels - you could get the standard setting re-programmed lower
but if you want low - go and buy a max power chav...
thankyou all for your help
contacted an LAndrover independant - came over- hooked it up to laptop/diagnostic wotsit
reset the thingamejig, and it started first turn, 10 min job
£50 plus vat
well chuffed
thanks
so - - got the EAC and it made no difference
auot electircian reckons that some gizmo/ecu under the seat has stoped talking to some gizmo/ecu on the engine
dont think i can afford main dealer prices - any one any ideas - NOTTS area
hi have seen them go for around £5000 - prob get more perhaps £6000 - obviously not the best time to sell a 4.6 V8
i paid £5000 for a 2000 4.0 se 2 owners, done 58k 18" alloys
ive seen them for around £8500 too - but think that people just trying it on to see if anyone bites
p.s. - you...
done 1200 miles on my 2000 4.0 p38 since bought
1 st problem encountered
it wont start - just turns over quickly - like no fuel/spark
garage say the immobilser in the ecu has armed itself and wont un-arm
key gets me intot he car but wont start it
apparently cure is to send ecu away...
okay - i bought a range rover subwoofer grey plastic box wotsit
its got a bit at the bottom for my cd chnager to go into
ive got a 4.0 se
- behind the left rear panel will i find a plug already there to plug it into?
do i need owt else?
will it work?
- its the normal one i think...
errrr Im not sure - not owned many solihull motors
Only comment i would make is - is yours a 3.5 with carbs or EFI (dont know when it came in)
I would expect a few MPG more with EFI than carbs - especially if they need setting up correctly - just a general thought
Im V pleased with 25-26...
ive just driven from notts down to northants and back (160 miles)
in my 4.0 PETROL 2000 P38
steady run doing 55-70 on the way down averaged 26 MPG
between 60-75 on way back 25 mpg
well impressed - was only getting 27-28 MPG on my 2,5 DIESEL cherokee
