Freelander 1 Filled a diesel Freelander 1 TD4 with petrol - is it terminal?

It'll be fine I put petrol in mine all the time. .like nodge says it will run better. I drained my tank by clipping a hose to the under bonnet fuel pump and letting it do the work into 2x 20l jerry cans a 1x 25l empty jacto gear oil tub....ran out of jerry cans.

Looking to buy a converted LHD (from RHD) - worried though

Apparently mk1 freelander are the steering converters car of choice as everything just swaps over to the other side n vice versa..no new dash etc.even the wipers will flip over.itsca good way to tell a cheap conversion cos they didn't bother with the wipers. ..think the tricky bit is the pedals...

    Door solenoid/actuator stopped working

www.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F253621905865 I would buy these. Again the shaft is too short but will work once you put the worm gear on and add a bit of shaft from old motor....

    Door solenoid/actuator stopped working

I don't remember off hand I could never find the right lenght(always too short) but if you pull a door lock module apart all will be apparent. You have to fit the worm gear from old one to new motor. And add a bit of shaft...(oooooo errrrrrr missus) if you buy a shorter one. Around 5cm if I...

    Door solenoid/actuator stopped working

There are no links to the brushes these are cheap nasty motors with very long shafts. You'll be suprised just how cheap n nasty there are when you pull one out. ..I finding them very hard to find nower days and when I do they are expensive with shorter shafts. So some fettling is involved..but...

    Door solenoid/actuator stopped working

It's the motor brushes that go on them..I replace the motors in the unit and all is good.a bit fiddly but do able. ..buying 2nd hand will just bring round the same problem. .there are 2 motors inside the module one for close and one fo open. I've done loads and this is all that fails in them.

    Replacing Rear wheel Stud (nightmare)

I just belted mine out with a hammer then belted the new ones back in...Really really could not be arsed to remove the whole hub. When you belt the old one out it leaves a slight gap as it don't want to go...hence the hammer action...this groove it just enough to bash the new studs in...

    Freelander 1 Automatic TD4 problems

Can't see the pic on my phone but looks interesting. .I wonder if the different fluids affect the wiring/connections etc..as they seem to be swimming in the stuff..conductive fluid etc. Just a thought...build up of metal particles around connectors etc.

    Freelander 1 Automatic TD4 problems

Could it be the temp sensor? You could try putting what ever value resistor for full running temp is across the 2 pins on the jacto ecu when engine cold. Should fool jacto ecu into thinking box is up to temp...and see of ya gears work then from cold? Temp sensor could be going oc when cold...
