Is failing prop shaft bearings unsafe to drive?

A hand held impact driver may work too if very stubborn.. give it a good wack n crack it loose. Cheap to buy also.

Is failing prop shaft bearings unsafe to drive?

Have you tried some heat on it? I usually crack em off after a good run when ird is nice n warm..comes off a treat...

Is failing prop shaft bearings unsafe to drive?

Could be the bearing metal dust cover thingys...they can work loose and start rubbing on the inside of the bearing carrier....try spraying some grease in there..or try to reseat them by moving about with a screw driver or somert....

Freelander 1 Auto box stuck in 1st for a few hundred yards.

My thoughts on this is that unless you have the box/engine to a test bench it's not economical to try and diagnose the fault to sorce. That's why I presumes garages just blitz areas.ie all solinoinds, then test.. ... I just using the force belive you have a solinoid problem....Blitz them n see...

Freelander 1 Auto box stuck in 1st for a few hundred yards.

I got a set of good used solinoids for £50 from eBay.. that was all of them I only changed the duty solinoids.. All mine tested good too.... but changing them fixed me fault of slamming into gears.

Freelander 1 Auto box stuck in 1st for a few hundred yards.

I would change out ya 3 shift solinoids if it were mine..and just for good measure the 3 duty ones...in fact do them all saves you having to rebolt all those trans oil pan bolts again.... It's quite an easy job. If it's not those is start looking at the speed sensors.

Meat loaf was wrong, 2 out of 3 ain't good....

Freelander 2 (LR2) ABS too good

Maybe yours has a fault I would get it checked out ..i remember on my FL1 when I had an intermittent faulty ABS sensor..the car/ABS would not let me brake...kept pulsing when no need to in dry conditions at not very fast speeds...it though the wheels were slipping but went...It was like you say...

    Freelander 1 SRS fixed

Bad earth on bulb could be real tail lights...mine fill up with water like a fish tank and corroded all the connections. ..I had to drill a little hole in their bottoms to let it drain out.

Freelander 1 Is it pinking or worse - bugger it's worse - AA Man was required today !

Mine was this Crank technics one too..no woodruff key but bolt holds it fine and I presume will only hold it tighter in time as that's the way the crank turns..ie tightens the bolt which is a good thing as I could not tighten it by hand enough as kept turning the engine over...can't comment on...
