I can't belive how dirty the haldex oil is, never seen it that black n gelled like..are LR actually servicing these? What's the service interval on a haldex these days, on VW was around 60k but having said that when the 1st cars had haldex fitted, vw didn't know about the haldex hence it wasn't...

Blimey so there's no way to change the diff oil? Is there a top up hole?

Actually I've just read from gen 3 upwards the haldex is preactive..ie it turns on a bit when no slip is detected.This is to give a more 4x4 feeling, where as the gen 1 and 2 are proactive, ie turns on after slip is detected....So seems about right.. What's this bigger pinion bearing bell...

Have you seen The LR tsb regarding this problem nodge... from what I can make out, it's suggesting the haldex is coming on at the wrong times...effectively acting like a VCU would..and binding up the transmission, Software mod to alter it's characteristic etc.... Or is this yet another problem.

There will be a haldex fuse, you could pull it, it will run in mondo mode, but throw up a mil.

As a quicky, maybe can you disconnect the haldex plug, it might be stuck on electronicly....also from having haldex on a vw can you access it in diags. You can turn it on/off run the pump etc...etc.. worth a try. But is looking like a duff diff from what You say ...so LR got rid of the VCU and...

That's what I've done with the FL1 with it's slipping gearbox, 2x locked shut rear doors, and clumping sunroof...while I decide what to do with it..... really don't like crawling around on a wet cold floor in the dark...

Are you sure your not adjusting them too close to locking up setting??? Maybe back them off a bit nodge with more travel in the lever or what ever it is called on the FL2. Just to cheer you up. I got a puncture in the rav today, had to change the wheel in the pouring rain. But couldn't fit the...

I've used the bmw cyclone filter for about 5 years now and never had a problem with it....could the smoke be from turbo?? Leaking seals? If you pull off all ya turbo pipes just see how much residue is in there....mine has quite a bit but does not smoke like that. Also check you,'ve not done...

I'd hate to be making the 96s balance charger to charge all those cells.... The leaf pack would have all this built in I presume, the cost of all the electronics to look after 96s could be outrageous.
