Technically you lost BugsyBloke, the driver of the crapped out 88 but I shall do my best to keep up in 'Buddy' the 109. And I got me a CB too. Are there any proper scrapy narrow points? If so I'll take the Jerry cans off of the doors.

14th should be very doable. What with being sad and lonely and all that! You did such a cracking job leading last time I wouldn't even know how to compete with your leadership skills.… that coupled with the idea that I have no idea where my local shops are let alone green lanes, kind of...

I once stripped down an XJS and put that into many boxes. I also took pics of where everything went in stages of dismantlement. The guy at Jaguar was a very helpful and enthusiastic chap and helped me with regards to what was ok and what was on the list of 'worn'. Thinking about it...

Brilliant thread. Very interesting. Can I ask..... Are you taking things apart and learning as you go or are you very knowledgable in the world of moving metal bits? I'd be petrified that pulling apart Diffs and Gearboxes would end in disaster for me what with missing bolts, springs and shims...

Just been told the cylinder head is cracked. .

not sure LR should ever use this as a marketing campaign

I liked the transparent fuel tank, no need for a fancy fuel gauge and the 'filling up the rad whilst on the move'. Not to mention the water resistant seat :):)

Dude you're so posh, you're just slumming it to get in touch with those 'working class' folk. Oh its so cool to be ironic isn't it? Phnar phnar whatoh and such. ;):p

    Mechanic Wanted Notts/Derby ish

Hi Guys Does anyone know of a good mobile mechanic that would be able to diagnose and if needed replace my head gasket on my 12j 2.5 NA ? (fitted to my S3 109) I already have the bits. I did this myself a few weeks ago,but since taking it to Cumbria and back it doesn't seem to have lasted. I'm...

;););):cool::cool::cool: I don't think it wanted to be seen on the back of a Big Yellow Taxi again. Even though I'm convinced the head gasket has blown AGAIN. I bet it would still go a few more miles if needed. Once I fit a new gear lever of course.

What have you done to your Landie today.

After a great weekend in Cumbria. Finally made it home with some chugging and black smoke. Gears were getting a little difficult to engage and as a result the gear lever snapped off just as I tried to reverse it onto the drive. 130 mile round trip plus about 30 for the off-roading. It was the...
