take the consol out to access the lever box and free the rod that goes from side to side, i had to use a big hammer and plenty of grunt to free mine but well worth it.

thanx for that, i decided to let my local garage tackle the job its way beyond my capabilities, upon closer inspection it was not the core plugs after all but both cylinder heads, she is being stripped now and fingers crossed for just gasgets, still a bloody expensive bottle of antifreeze tho...

i did mine this afternoon following MHM's guide, it took 3 hours and i am NOT mechanically minded. I have been putting it off but wish i hadn't now, it was realativley simple.

Finally got round to looking at diff lock problem, looked at it, squirted full can of wd40 at it, belted it wiv hammer, now all working fine, got to go and get mucky now, thankyou bobbler for you link, twas extreemly helpfull. i will search before posting next time :D

my v8 disco has two torpedo tanks for the lpg, whilst going round p,boro off road site at weekend i bent one of the brackets holding the tanks in place. has anybody got any idea where i can get hold of some guards or how to make some, thanks:D

hi all, i am struggling to get my v8 auto diff lock engaged. i have been underneath and sprayed linkages with wd40 and played the gear stick. i can get high ang low range with a bit of wiggling but cannot move gear lever to the left to get diff lock, any ideas.
