ill keep a closer eye on the diffs and check the bearings james , not a great design then for an off roader ! . I do only use it as an off roader or the odd towing /tree stump removal

What about rain /spray on the bearings ? , im guilty of wading up to the bonnet on several occasions even left it parked in two feet of water for quite some time , i hve changed my diff oils and not seen any water present . change my oils every year ish

So what does everyone do ? change oils after every off roading water crossings ?

Some people who lease new cars (including disco's an rangies)for three years and they get the fleet clocked back to under 30k , so they only pay the bottom lease milage price , no mots to verify milage in the first three years , happens more than youd expect ,they insert fault codes ,usually...

Unless your the only owner of the vehicle from brand new or know all the owners personally , then your milage means squat

does it work on EDC pumps

Can anyone tell me if a disco 2 HD steering rod (rear one) will fit on a disco 1 length wise , i know ill have to add a damper bracket , but i have a solid disco 2 rod doing nothing and have bent my standard one Cheers

This is the exact setup i coppied ( hope you didnt mind !) and it works superb and you can buy the 200tdi filters easily . Also there has been lots of research on airfilters and its proven that a standard panel filter lets the engine have more air than a k&n reusable filter

Try removing the top portion (if it has a filter in it) and run it for a little bit ,see if that helps ?

Not really sure why people are suggesting intercooler pipes when the OP said the disco if fine ,and drives as good as a disco should with the snorkle disconnected . So its got to be snorkle , the weakest link is the flexi joints , or a blockage of sorts . Ive heard of problems with snorkles...

id say check fluid again ,check all pipes for damage or leaks .

Fixed mine with an elastic band the postman dropped on my path , put it round the bar that sticks out on the left , holds the button up nicely :) Central locking works but ,if the band is too strong you need to lock it with the key manually .

careful with your front tints , look well too dark , watched an unmarked police car ( grey audi) tug a corsa a month back in wolvo , made him peel it all off

When were your gearbox oils last changed or even checked for lvls etc , new oil can make all the difference with these td5's

PLEASE NOTE THE WINKING SMILEY god some folks really do need to chill out . RR classics have an ally floor pannel in the boot pop rivited in from factory , which was thin and a crap idea with it touching steel and corroding badly . keep ally and steel well appart with propper sealant

mine does this on long ish runs at speed and its an 300 tdi auto , with all new fluids inc diff oils . deffo a rubber burning smell
