Someone on here has a pic of the mounting depths: from the door inner skin you'll get away with around 50mm, mounting the speaker on top of the door card gives you about 75mm.

I used Gunk and a flue brush, it was extremely messy, but effective. Others have used oven cleaner good results too.

No I couldn't get the driver on mine either, they must assemble the hoses off the car then put the whole unit in, I couldn't see any other way. Once the hose was off though, when I refitted the new silicone pipe I positioned the clip so that I could use the flexidriver, with the nut of the clip...

6mm spanner......... slow, fiddly, but you'll get there eventually! If you purchase, or have, a flexi clip screwdriver It makes life a bit easier when repositioning the front clip.

Hi T4LOY, no, it should be left to the atmosphere. I've just cleaned my inlet manifold (Holy crap it was caked with oil!), changed the recently replaced crankcase breather filter for a bmw oil separator..... you'd be surprised at how much oil is captured by the 'loo roll' type filter in...

Hi Kab It could be gear selector rod wear, or clutch wear even though it feels ok going up the gears. Check the rods, from under the car, for slackness in the rod joints.

Hi Allan I'm currently running mine in 2wd too, there is no need to fit a plate, unless you are going to leave it in 2wd permanently. You'll probably just need to clean up the mating faces of the drives before reassembly. Also, look at tyre replacement when you fit the new / recon VCU, to...
