ive often wondered this and honestly cant see any benefit whatsoever,you still have the same axle/chassis clearence

that nut just holds the rubber diaphram onto the pin,after you've scribed a marker point gently lift the edge of the diaphram and pull it out (you may have to wiggle it a bit)now rotate the required deg put it back in,put the cover back on and job done. sometimes they do rotate with out lifting...

45-90 degree is the norm

it does make a big difference,try starting with about 45 degree clockwise first and see how it feels,dont forget to scribe a start point so you know where the factory setting is,as i said it will smoke a bit more on full throttle but it shouldnt be to bad at 45 and will give you noticably more power

120 degree clockwise is maximum but will smoke like hell

its not just land/range rover,all cars suffer from this,i took the door cards of my defender and sprayed all the mechanism with wd40,so far i havent suffered with frozen door locks for while now

it was proved that he had bogded the modifications,it was badly maintained and he was driving to fast.so it was the prick himself that was responsible not the vehical but the blame game doesnt bring the kids back does it

yeh i know what you mean,i was told (not sure if its right) that from late 93k they started useing 300tdi running gear,thats why they changed to 24 spline,they started useing the 45mm radias arms to(which caught me out when i bought my poly bush kit)theres quite a few little differences between...

i may be wrong there then its probably 200tdi onwards that had discs,i know pre 200tdi were definatly drums

Discs were fitted from late 93k onwards,the td5 axle casings are stronger,and the diffs are slightly stronger,(the pin in the middle of the sun gears is slightly thicker and the sun gears themselfs are beefier)
