L322 Not the usual EAS fault...

No, the front cross link valve was deleted for the '04 model year. You can see where it would mount. The connector is tied up just out of the way.

Disco 1 My (very early) 300v8 won't start

It's not a flat battery - i've got twin batteries and a T-MAX link which shows they're charged. Also you can start it by bridging the starter solenoid. Everything died at once so i don't think it's individual connections to circuits.

Disco 1 My (very early) 300v8 won't start

I'll start by saying I think I know what's wrong, but.... I went to get in my disco one morning and the plipper wouldnt work, but as it happens, she was unlocked so I managed to get in her. It is the older single button system wiithout a spider I turned the key, the dash lit up, but all I...

L322 Not the usual EAS fault...

Hi guys, I've got a 2004 L322 in with an air suspension problem that I'm struggling with. It comes up with the "air suspension inactive" message on the dash and nothing works. It has been to at least one other garage that have just tried the "replace stuff till it works" method. the codes I...

    Discovery mpi to tomcat turbo?

Twin turboing a high compression v8 would be fun... especially as the later GEMS has active ignition timing by cylinder....

    V8 or 300tdi

I'd go V8. I have gone v8. 3 times. Same car. The first engine was damaged by misuse when she was lent out (grr) and the second engine was fine just a bit small) A diesel will have a more stable idle usually but it won't sound or feel like a bent eight.

Some pics of my Disco :D

I know that feeling mate! Just bought my first house, can't believe the amount of work involved. and my poor disco has had all her interior ripped out to be used as a van for the next few weeks. Did manage to find time to pop the second ashcroft locker in first tho. Sorry for the hijack.

    Rebuild Disco 3.9 V8

If you're going for bushes, fit SuperPro, they are markedly better than most offerings on the market, they're easy enough to fit and aren't that much more expensive than other brands. For anything that you will notice every drive buy the best you can.

a sad day is on its way

I've got an M5 too and I can see why he thought the Disco was noisy, they're chalk and cheese. Bit of a pillock though as he doesn't seem to have a clue about what he's bought, so why did he buy it? I've just bought a house that has no garage, might have to get one built!

    D2 V8 LPG & killed cats

OP, you have 4 lambda sensory because your car is post 2001 and ALL petrol engined cars post 2001 must have a pre and post cat lambda sensor as part of the EOBD fault checking and logging protocols needed for the emissions regulations that came into force then. To pass a UK MOT you need to...

    Auto Box Gurgling

I'm surprised you can hear anything from the 'box. I'd have thought a gurgling sound would be far more likely be air in the heater matrix, especially as it's the highest point...

What have you done to your Landie today.

(yesterday) I fitted a front airlocker and an R380 in place of the old LT77. I also used some clever 2 part plastic goo to repair my center console so I had a way of fixing the window switches in place. Little things that add up to a big difference.

How long does a cat live?

About 10 years or so depending on cars, dogs... oh, someone beat me to it. Joking aside if it looks ok, keep it. If it doesn't, bin it and replace it with a piece of straight pipe without a cat. You don't need it.

Any luck with the connector smac02? Unfortunately as I stated, my local dealer doesn't have Testbook anymore. Either that or their pdi guy is arrogant and wrong....
