How difficult and costly would it be to get the components for an aircon unit, and to fit it to a non-aircon late 300 TDI, just a thought at the moment, i'm sure there has been alot of people who have stripped it out of their DIscos to do green laning and off roading

the mechanics are easy, almost tractor like, most expensive things to fix on Disco TDI would be Gbox, trans box related, the parts are probably the most reasonable of any car brand, and anybody who knows one end of a spanner from the other could repair one, and if they don't they will know...

I watched the whole series about a month ago, there is something a little sinister the way the commentator is 'egging' him on like he's using his (the drivers) lack of experience to amuse himself by how fooked the Disco is becoming, maybe it's an MOT failure, or not worth saving,but...it does...

I would of done it myself, it's fiddly but an easy fix, even if it is the roofbars too

Disco went in for the MOT today and passed, no advisories or anything, so chuffed, all the hard work paid off :) I thought it may have failed on the smoke test, as when i checked vosa's website for the MOT failure history it had failed 2 MOT's ago with that, but it has been decatted, and EGR...

sprayed the complete underside, and arches with underseal, compressor wasn't man enough to use the tuby thing for inside the chassis legs ) : got to try (if weather holds out) to fit my new front & rear springs, dampers, and other suspension components tomorrow

Try replacing the copper washers under the injectors...I know the 3oo TDI has these and presume the 200 does too, once the injector has been removed, they should be replaced with new They cost about 38p each, mine was leaking on several, the washers have a raised bit round the diameter that...

Mine was the same, don't worry about it, you'll notice under load or heavy acceleration It will do it too, this will last a few days but then will subside Cleaning out the intercooler might help get rid of it quicker

the ones machine mart sell (clarke branded), usually are quite a good fit for most hobby type welders, try there, the SIP one i used to have had a clarke one fitted, and it just needed to be trimmed to the correct length...they do tips & shrouds too :) regarding the strength of the welds, there...

if you are planning on doing quite a bit of welding, don't go for a hobby one, although on the welding forums they really do rate the clarke range out of the hobby type MIG welders...i had the money for a half decent hobby one, but went for an older good branded welder, if it's an older one, the...
