If it does turn out to be the regulator they are easy to fix. Using the fix kit is the cheapest option (they are available on eBay). I've also used cheaper non OEM regulators which work well but are noisy compared to the genuine land rover part (but are sometimes 1/4 of the price).

Where are you based? Mid Cornwall are just up the road from me so it's convenience more than anything. The young lad there who does work on my car is excellent. I've only got the freelander at the moment so it's difficult to get back home if the car needs to be kept for a day or so.

With the wipers, the timing is controlled by the motor itself if I remember correctly, so no reprogramming, may need a new motor. If it works on some speeds but not others the wiper linkage is probably undamaged, so the motor may be knackered. Not sure what is wrong with the...

I used an upholstery cleaner aerosol from halfrauds. Can't remember the brand, but it had a red & black foam brush attached to the top. Removed all the stains in my cloth interior. Would deffo recommend the foam spray.
