Good idea. It's my long term project to totally sort the chassis out. I fitted passenger side trackrod end, welded some patches of chassis, stripped handbrake, fitted output seal, refitted handbrake, and surprise, the new spring I had bought to replace the old one, which had broken causing...

Ha, I assume you mean slicing out the UJ's, which I did have to resort to, yes.. Wish I had thought about that earlier...

Got UJ's on, finally, don't want to do that job again in a hurry!! Thought I'd check the transmission brake while I had everything off.. Surprised to find a brake shoe spring had expired, allowing gravity to help one shoe to dangle on the drum, causing... An annoying juddering.... ! Problem...

Currently battling with UJ's on rear prop... Grrr! They a bugger!! Soaked in plus gas next to radiator, leaving overnight while a friend drops off a heavy duty pair of molies to get the old ones out, and put some good GKN ones on.. Got new nuts and bolts, the splines are good tho, but I think...

Changed rocker cover gasket, to stop leaving so many spots on the road. Found a loose HT lead, and made it fit better.. Cleaned the outside of the engine a bit.. Got more welding to do ASAP... And prop UJ's to change.

Passenger wheel bearing had water in it. Cleaned out now, but may need to replace.. I greased it, but it makes a noise, when spun, more than other side, but spins freely.

The play is in the front prop, I have FWH's so it's not moving at present, however I will sort that as soon as I can. Yes, worked out the level plugs, I was stupidly thinking the gearbox had two, when the rear one was for transfer box, that was the one I had to fill (took a litre-ish).

I did pull at them, and they moved a bit, but not excessively.. Not sure how bad it would have to be to cause the rumble/judder/squeak that I am hearing/feeling.. What u did notice was the short prop's splines move, where it joins it's sleeve..

Or maybe the half shafts??

Thanks, will check overrun, it doesn't necessarily judder on take-off, more once I'm going.. There is a high pitched squeak involved now too.. :-/
