Hi gotta 96 300tdi me n me mate are doin the discs and pads (hes doin it really cause im not much good lol) discs on fine but he cant get the pistons in the caliper to go right back in, any tips to sort this please:confused: regards David

is the top hose the same on a 200tdi as on a 300tdi???? Regards David

just recieved my egr blanking kit today and i know i need toi replace the pipe it feeds into is it true the pipe off a 200tdi will fit???? thanks in advance

oil will be gettin repaced on friday will let you know what happens, hopefully that will be the end to it!!!!

How can i tell if its blocked

that sounds expensive i assumne thats something a novice couldnt fix

so is it likely to just be dirty oil in it then

its a 1996 300tdi mate havent a clue which gearbox that is

could there be another reason why my gears are sometimes tight and i dont ever need to tup up my engine oil i check the level every week and to my amazement its not dropped for ages

oh and virtually the whole bottom of the housing has a coating of oil on it

it does appear to be dripping i just cant really figure out where from!

i think its just behind where it meets the oil sump

and there is oil all around it!

looking at it its near the front of the box at the lowest level facing the ground

right on the bottom of the box with a thread in it sorry im not very good with stuff like this

even if it still selects gears eventually havent really driven it since it went real tight
