Thanks for reply. That would be great if you could get me a PDF copy. I looked at all the diagnostic tools and there does seem to be some great kit. I thought I would start with a basic reader and learn a few things first and get some hands on experience. I will re look next year. all the best

Its a pdf copy that I would like - not into windows or computer as such. I am diesel mechanic ( cat,detroit, cumins etc etc plus alison and cat transmissions etc) old school. Computers and the ECU , EEPROM and can bus etc etc - going to take me a long time to get my head around this lot

I should have said -need to do this at start of any post I do. its a 2004 l322 with BMW 3 litre in line 6 and GM box

Thanks for info. I will contact him now. Update - I changed my battery today. Followed all instructions obtained from here. I found a couple of blown fuses behind the clove box! Changed them. Adjusted the glove box catch. Plugged in my new icarsoft i930. Said no faults but it seem to be lacking...

Hi, Opened glove box and it was stuffed with papers ( old invoices!!!) and owner's handbook!!! Just sat reading it now. Tried that Rave site but I dont have windows ( mac user) and I thought it said it was discontinued and moved.

No bank balance so have to do all my self. I am a quick learner and not afraid to ask questions ( how to find my fuse box) !! I am sure I will be back asking more questions and maybe one day I will be able to answer some!

Hi Gold Rover - yes it does and now I know why you said what you said!!! I managed to open it !!!!! Next I will look for the fuse box. I think I am going to be on a very very steep learning curve!!! Thank you for the quick and helpful reply

Hi, I have trying to locate the main fuse box - but I have no glove box just a fixed panel? Really struggling at moment - battery dead - ordered new one - going to fit it but where is fuse box etc etc Any help really really apreciated Regards mark
