Tyre co. wrecked my IRD – need official proof

Well I for one, being a very new freelander owner, was aware of fitting new tyres to the rear axle. This post has been exceptionally helpful for me and when I get my pay out, I'm investing in 4 new tyres instead of 2! I feel for the guy who originated this thread, however, my personal opinion...

    Miles to rank of Diesel

Having ran my freelander since beginning of January I can get to and from work for 2 weeks circa 401 miles and it's still got 1/4 of a tank left. I'm averaging 38-40mpg and generally cruise at 55mph. Looking at everyone else's response I'm pretty pleased with that as it cuts down on my fuel bill :D

    Miles to rank of Diesel

Crikey I'm sitting at just over 1/4 tank and around the 360 miles, pretty crap in comparison

    Miles to rank of Diesel

Thanks everyone for your feedback it's much appreciated. Only another 120 mikes to go til I hit my target 400. Currently on 280 miles and just above half a tank of diesel so keeping my fingers crossed I can get there. :)

Thanks for ur input everyone, I see if I get 400 miles I'm lucky and any more it's a bonus.

Bit of a creak from rear end :(

Ok great thanks for that, will text my mechanic and see if he can have a wee look for me :)

Bit of a creak from rear end :(

Hi kizzeh, in my opinion I would not say it's a metallic clucking, more of a groaning. You know that clunk u get when car not moved for a while and hand brake left on, well it's similar to that but not as loud.........am I making sense?

    Steering wheel radio controls

Yes it does have controls, my freelander 1 has them as standard fit :)

Bit of a creak from rear end :(

So I have now been running the long anticipated freelander for 2 weeks and I have noticed a "creak" coming off the back end. This sounds to be coming from the rear passenger side. It only happens (not all the time) when in slow reverse, in slow first gear and slowly turning left or right at...

New to the world of freelanding

He had that or the freelander van in my price range, everything else was newer and more expensive. My dad has had 2 freelanders before with no problems. Collected mine Saturday and so far all going well. So far got just over 300 miles on the clock and have just gone past the half tank mark so I...

    Freelander TD4 help

Thanks musky81, appreciate the sound advice. I hope to start running it this weekend and will see for myself how it's fixed. As for rear windows, well it won't be sitting in the back so really not bothered just now if they don't work haha :D I hope it's a good un too, don't want to be spending...
