Looks like a nice straight landy, you'll be surprised how easily it'll all come off just work thorugh it steadily and logically. The pedal boxes are fairly straight forward just 6 bolts in each.

. Ye i have heard mixed reviews about powder coating, they say its pretty hard wearing. More tempted to paint it, get plenty of red oxide onto it and build up a few top coats, but thats more for logistical reasons to save transporting it. Still the list of jobs is getting slightly shorter...

Took a days leave today to crack on with the bulkhead. got the footwells and door pillars welded in and test fitted it on the chassis, just the welds to tidy up, then i'll take it back off and get it ready for the paint or powder coat.

Sounds like a good way of doing it, always good to have a welder in the family especially if you own a landy! Once welded up this bulkhead is possibly going back to the shotblasters to go over the new sections and the welds, they do powder coating there so he's qouted me £60 to powder coat it...

Started rubbing back the wings, couldn't believe the ammount of paint on there!

Picked up the bulkhead from the shot blasters, can finally see how much steel is left! Managed to tack on the door pillars to give me a good idea of what requires cutting out.

No, no slipping what so ever before hand, just stopped after about 10yds, pretty bizzare, thats what led me to think that it might be something a little more sinister like gearbox input or output shaft splines. It just goes to show how well Landys hang on until the bitter end before giving up!!

Got to the bottom of it, the clutch was toast! down to the rivets on the flywheel side, replaced it last weekend i'll get around to putting up the pics soon.

You're in series 3 territory for that money, im guessing you're pretty familliar with a bit of spannering, with a bit of TLC and some proactive maintenance an old series 3 will get you about ok as long as you like going steady!
