    It's become a bit of a project!

First the good news - the ribs have pretty much healed so today I managed to swap out the starter motor. The bad news is, she still won't turn over so now I'm fearing the worst and wonder if the block has seized in the year it's been parked up  All that happens when I turn the key is...

109 2.6, 6 cylinder LPG conversion for sale - belper, derbyshire

Bit gutted I didn't see this a couple of weeks ago, I'm just up the road and would have snapped it up :(

New sills and sliders made today (pic heavy)

Was thinking of using tubing myself and found some interesting anti-slip paint which could also work nicely in the boot and footwells. Protecta-Kote a Unique Single Component Polyurethane Coating with Rubber Anti Slip Granules offering a totally flexible antislip (nonslip) finish. Promain UK

    My new disco commercial 200tdi

I bet :) I've always fancied the idea of turning one into an off-road camper.

Replacement starter motor arrived today (yay) however in an entirely un-related incident I've managed to crack a rib (boo) so progress this week has ground to a stand-still. Feck.

Hadn't thought about a scrap yard, good call :)

    It's become a bit of a project!

Strangely un-eventful day today, despite the good weather. Still reluctant to patch the arch if there's a chance I can find a replacement and the starter motor hasn't arrived yet so not much more I can do besides a little cleaning and painting. Started with the driver's footwell and was...

Not my cup of tea at all. I'm liking the original lamps with the new clear indicators.

    Where to put the blank?

Nope, my 300 ES Auto had the standard EGR that's in the guide.

The bumper clusters are spot on and look really clean. We agreed the new colour scheme today (I think), mustard yellow body with black trim, to match the new mods, so for the upper clusters I'll go for a smoked finish.

Those chrome bulbs are nice, pair ordered :) Next up will be a search for clear rear clusters too... off to google I go.

I know, I'm a heretic for even thinking about it...

The only question which springs to mind is "Good God Why?" (and 'Because I can' just won't cut it in this instance).

    Where to put the blank?

Odd, yours looks like none I've seen before. The blanking plate sits on the manifold (roughly by the "Here" in your original pic), but you seem to have grown some extra hoses from somewhere!

    It's become a bit of a project!

Just spoke to the chap who sent me the wheel nuts (turns out they were from Britpart) and asked if he could get the arch repair panel (MWC4840). Same problem here, Britpart no longer make it either but he knows a couple of other manufacturers who may be able to help. Should find out on Monday...

    Mould!

Shocked me! Mine were so sodden I ripped them out, they weighed a ton.

    It's become a bit of a project!

Guess I should feel fortunate that the rot isn't as bad as some I've seen, but it's still enough to be a PITA. Going to be fun getting a grinder into that tight corner. The old seam has split and needs re-repairing. This is the bit that really worries me though, not looking forward to...

Gadgets thread, what have you got!

Reckon mine is psychic, it has some nice bits which have evolved while I wasn't looking. Best example is the air con, which didn't work, so the bugger developed some tasty little ventilation slots in the floor to keep me nice and cool :D
