    Radiator cooling

If it's the 1.8k, should have two fans.

    fuel consumption

The 1.8K isn't that bad for fuel economy, it's just a small engine for a big car. When the Rover 25 first had a 1.8VVC K, it would do 70mpg according to adverts. The K series was one of the most advanced engines of it's time as far as economy goes.

    fuel consumption

If i'm absolutely hammering it i can get as low as about 8mpg, if i'm really nice to the accelerator i can get about 26mpg. That's on a slightly modified engine though ;) When it was stock i remember getting about 320 miles from a full tank.

    Exhaust hell!!!!

Are they the bolts that bolt through to the catalytic converter? If so, i had to angle grind mine out. They were well and truly rusted up.

HELP! can i take out the back seats?

No problem, they possibly changed the type of bolts at a certain point in time. Was over a year since i removed my seats, don't think i'll ever put them back in again. My toolbox has pride of place in the middle now.

HELP! can i take out the back seats?

Yep that's right. The one at front faces towards the front seats, the ones at back face straight up. Two hinges on each seat i think.

HELP! can i take out the back seats?

Oh, they were torx bolts in mine holding down the hinges. The hinges don't need to come off the seat, just the body of the car.
  14. freebiker

HELP! can i take out the back seats?

There are hinges under the front of the seats you'll need to undo from the body. You'll need a torx bit in your socket driver but i can't remember what size off hand. They have two bolts in each hinge i think, the back bolt you'll need to access when the seats are folded up.

    Oh dear. Oh very dear.

I've just asked him a few things about it :D Whether any changes to the engine have been made. The 0-60 will be over a minute with the circ. of those wheels. What hubs he's running that will fit the PCD of genuine range rover wheels Plus, that ****ing bonnet scoop is terrible. No point to...

    mugged?

You've not been mugged. It is a fair bit of work and that isn't a bad price. Timing belt has to come off to change water pump so you should have asked him to do that too. Would you have been ok taking off the timing belt, bleeding coolant etc? If not then paying someone £90 is better than...

    Clutch slave part needed asap

It wont be the one where the slave and master are seperate, that's for TD4's. You'll be able to find it cheaper than on the link you've posted. Usual price is around £50. It's also advisable to change the bracket as these can break quite often (may be the cause of you needing to change your...

    Freelander Lift Kit

If it helps i'll certainly be adding camber correction pins to mine when i get round to fitting my lift kit. I'll be trying to aim for negative camber as my girl can be driven quite hard on the roads at times. There's certainly a knack to setting up the pins.

Freelander 1.8 K series need more power

It would cost A LOT of money to convert your engine into a turbo. You're not just talking about the turbo itself, you'd need new ECU, forged pistons, tougher liners etc. Would be an awful lot of work as well. Of course the lump in the Rover 75 turbo and other cars weren't around 160bhp with just...
