    Where do you live?

FOOK nice bike! If you're going as south as jodrell bank you may as well go a teeny bit further and find the wettenhall straights near oulton park. My favourite road EVER.

    Freelander head gasket problem

Might have been somewhere else i saw that done then. Maybe on the MG-Rover forums.

    Freelander head gasket problem

The garage should have checked liner heights before fitting everything to make sure they were within the recommended tolerances. The liners can slip with the head off (i think N.I. has shown a makeshift clamp for the liners using the old head bolts if iirc).

Just buried my head in the sand

Check all the gappings on the plugs. A bit of gt85 or wd40 on the leads and plugs won't do any harm to disperse any water.

    My previous pimped freelander/gaylander

Ah **** that, he'd only give it a spray job, try put bigger wheels on it and then forget to change the worn bucket

They're not married yet ;) Still engaged. Which do you prefer? Harrison or Chippendale? Would have thought his fiance would be hurrying him along the aisle.

So, The freelander is still listed on your website that bobbler linked above? Did the winner on ebay pull out after seeing it or re you just a little slow at updating your website?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180546384548&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123  An 11 year old freelander went for £5,600! Waiiiit.... if you 'own' a garage, why display on the ebay ad that you can put a credit/debit card through your 'bosses' card machine?

You did reply to me, i've just dug it out. "hi, no history of head gasket, no modified oil rail, had a kit fitted that i had made in germany to allow 22" wheels to fit, px i would need pics and details, be quick though" No history of head gasket on a K series? So you fitted a new headgasket...

Fair play taking an £800 bag of **** and turning it into something better, but you couldn't even tell me the headgasket had been done when i contacted you on ebay  Whats the point of doing all that work if you're not going to do work thats deemed necessary for a k series

    swap from subaru to landy????

The particular time i'm on about was in Crewe. Feb 2009 if i remember correctly.

    2002 1.8S head done...now further problems

Sounds likely to be inlet manifold gasket, maybe not fitted properly or they've fitted the gasket thats meant for the alu manifolds rather than the plastic ones.

    swap from subaru to landy????

If you'd seen me drive my freelander to it's limits then maybe the above quote could hold some weight. I've probably pushed my freelander harder than anyone else has on this forum. I've had to drive it so hard on one occasion the minute i switched the engine off and got the out the car i almost...

    swap from subaru to landy????

Have you changed your struts yet? I seem to remember you making a post on the freelander section about your freelander handling not that great. I've never almost 'rolled' my freelander, the rear has always stepped out way before it'd roll (doesn't tend to step out as much with the spoiler on...

    swap from subaru to landy????

That's a 2009 impreza. I was more on about a 2000 impreza compared with my 2000 freelander, only if the scoob had rollbars would it take an impact like the freelander could. The WRX scoobs especially have been made so light they just crumple.

    Freelander rear subframe cracking

130 vehicles is bull**** to be fair. And i don't think it's because of the wrong size nut. The box just wasn't made strong enough. Mine only cracked last year, and they'll be a whole load of others yet to crack as well i bet. I can't be arsed comparing my chassis number to the ones in that doc...

    swap from subaru to landy????

After pretty much having a scoob available to drive on a weekly basis only about six months ago (pic related, 380bhp scoob in background behind my freelander), i've driven one enough times to know very well how they handle, and they behave in quite a similar manner to freelanders. I'd...
