What engine is it? Take a pic if possible. There's not many places for a fuel leak if it's a 1.8k, but seeing as you've said it's located behind the alternator i doubt it's a K series.

The back end will step out on mine before i could say there's anything near excessive body roll. In fact yours should handle better as you've got lower profile tyres and have a little less distance from the ground.

Tis a very fast 4X4 with throttle bodies but it's expensive to do and will need other things as well like heavy duty clutch and new ECU.

I've visited a few. No i'm not mental. They're great places to explore when they've been abandoned. Very scary and creepy in parts. Some of my friends got some great photographs, shame i can't find them now. Edit: Just found some of the photos on a mates old myspace.

Take your wheels off and check the condition of the anti roll bar linkages. One or two may be bent. Also check the condition of your anti roll bar bushes, and the anti roll bar itself. It's cheaper to check and try these than swapping your suspension willy nilly.

For the class of the vehicle, in my opinion it's the best choice. Get some manly wheels and tyres and then come back and tell us your opinion :D Granted, it's no Defender but i'm more than happy with how my freeby handles off road.

That was third party fire and theft. Fully comp was over £5000 for me. Location drastically alters the price though. Crewe isn't the best place to own a car.
