change the acumulator (round ball thing on top of abs pump)had exactly the same problem on mine and cured it also several others on here remember to press the brake pedal 30 times i think to get rid of the pressure with ignition off some threads on here to confirm how to change though is really...

hi again people the fault is back basically as said in the last thread on this comes up on the display (electrical fault refer to manual) and problems as follow 1 lights come on when car is started even though switched of 2 no elec windows 3 no c/l 4 eas will not go all the way down last time...

gear changes are fine in high just does nothing when switched to low no msg no nothing is it the micro switch that switches it to low also have tried another ecu and still nothing no sport,low,lights,msg etc ????

have put the fuse 11 in to see if this makes any difference and nothing brings up no neutral msg nothing does this help with any ideas also there is no noise from the motor could this be the fault do you think

think you posted in the wrong place/thread mate start a new thread mate you will get more help that way

and some id mate photo id bill etc etc. in your handbook is how to enter it and if you dont have one there is a thread on hre of how to do it i think if not give me a pm and will find out how to do it for you

tried new ecu today with no joy but worth ago can anyone recomend where to go from here also where are all the fuses relays relavent to gear selection thanks will have a look to see if i can find it but if anyone can let me know that be great cheers

have downloaded it already had a quick look but am by no means a mechanic and abit over my head to be honest all them wiring diagrams lol but will sit down tomoz and give it another go i guess

have not had much time to check much today to be honest as my dog fell in a hole left by work men in local park and now has a torn ligament and wont be able to walk on it for approx 10-12 weeks bless her so not in the best of moods with local council another £2000 vet bill thanks god for pet...

when you say checked for power where do you mean at the ecu or at the gear selector switches ?

hi again people just want to know if i remove the gearbox ecu from my own car and plug it in to this one with the faulty low range etc will it cause me any problems and if not and is just a case of removing it and plugging it in do i need to disconect battery befor or anythin else i need to do...

the 4.0 county was mine sold that as it had spring conversion which i was not keen on so it went and i replaced it with the same 4.6 that i still have now and your help is much appriciated people if anyone need any advice on fitting kitchens /bedrooms bathrooms etc will be happy to help
