no was a used genuine maf and the o2 sensor were brand new ?

i brought them from ebay but were brand new and boxed and the correct part so would not have thought so but i guess its possible what should they change to from as think when i data logged it they were just reading 5 is this 5v? and also had a fault code 02 sensor high voltage ?

how do i do that and what should it be ? may tell me if i data log it or is there a more simple way

sounds exactly like mine and was pollen filters sit with the car on and fan on full and if you can here water swishing around in that area it will defo be your problem hth

ive changed both o2 sensor and maf has been running bad since ive owned it and trying to cure the problem after ive changed the 02 sensor came up with 02 sensor high voltage if this has any significance to the problem am out of ideas now just runs badly with low idle and chucks out black smoke...

hi all can anyone tell me how to reset the ecu on my 4.0 se 1998 p38 as have replaed o2 sensor and maf and been advised to reset the ecu can i do this or does it have to go to garage i have a snap on solus ive recently purchased can it be dne with this ???

i always drop mine as save the wear on the drivers seat that you see in so many rr

works fine with my laptop running vista never had any probs

how do you reset the ecu or does it have to g to a stealer ???

hi everyone as you may have seen by a few of my other post im having trouble with my p38 4.0 basically its over fueling loads ive just changed the o2 sensor and maf and still no joy it idles badly about 500 rpm and just stinks of fuel i have no idea now what to try so any ideas help would be...

just a quick question is the mesh in a maf important as mine was all loose/ripped so took it out as thought it would do more harm than good can anyone shed any light its a 1998 4.0 p38 by the way thanks

rite just removed one and they are a 17mm nut and have the following wrote on them sagem 04l5001.....ntk japan 4ls it may be 04ls001 my poor handwriting lol also got it running and unplugged the maf and took it for a drive but struggled to keep it running so would think that the maf is running...

what is the thread/nut size as not with the car and wanted to order some today

hi all are all p38 4.0 and 4.6 02/lambda sensors the same size fitment if not what size fitment should my 1998 r reg have thanks

i used a snap on solus pro and it did show that the 02 sensor were not switching and when removed them they were well coked up just thought if the maf was at fault may have been the original fault and caused the sensor to fail

you have a spare maf forsale or one i could borrow for a couple of hours to take and try on mine as would cost me £100 in the range at the min lol
