Sorted the binnacle problem. Temperature gauge I have found if turn the heating off (the blower part) it goes back to a normal position.

I'll give this a try! I've realised it's also the oil light that's not coming on when first turn the key. It must be something common to all 3 that's not working

It come on very slightly when first turn the key but you can only just see it for split second same with glow plug light.

My TD5 binnacle was all working fine till I had take it back out to get speedo out to have mileage changed to correct mileage, when plug the warning binnacle back in, the glow plug light and battery light no longer work everything else works fine. I've check they are fully pushed in in the plug...

I pulled it all out and started again, I must had one of the ignitions live wires wrong.

I've been following this guide, http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/2009/10/installing-defender-td5-gauges-into-a-200tdi300tdi/ but there no mention of a permanent live feed on the collectors for the binnacle which I think where I've gone wrong.

I'm having problems with the binnacle, the wiring is all as the plugs should be, but switch side lights on and oil/fuel/diff lock lights come on? And that's all that work?

Well managed to get all the gauges to work, I didn't have to alter the TD5 wiring loom at all the the Temperature gauge is reading as it should? The binicale i have done something wrong, because left Indicator flashes the main beam, and the only light works properly is the side lights! But...

I found original loom, but between that and the dash loom there is a another section of wire which are all same colour. Original I have found. Off top Of my head: Green Black x 2 Purple Green/blue - Water Temp Green/black - Fuel Sender Orange/red - Gauge lighting I'll check tonight see...

I have that thanks, but my colours don't match up for each, per live and switched live

That's what I'm currently in the process of doing, it just trying to match the colours up as someone as changed the top half to all green :S Am I right in thinking originally (1996 90) Black - earth Green - ignition switches live Purple - permanent live If so I'm getting somewhere, Sorry...

Just stared mine, it's fair to say someone had completely bodged the wiring behind!

Does anyone know the diameter of the waste gate control hose? I need to source a new hose but don't fancy paying £50+ for one. Could I get away with just a silicone pipe of same diameter? Thanks
