Hi gstuart, could you do me a favour and verify that this is the right Gap iid for me? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GAP-IID-TOOL-BLUETOOTH-PERSONAL-LAND-ROVER-DIAGNOSTIC-TOOL-DISCOVERY-SPORT/253324845777?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649 Thanks

I noticed a useful tip on the video you linked too. When I was refitting my compressor I couldn't use a flexible coupling to refit the top mounting bolt as the end would drop before it got to the bolt head. In the video he wraps a bit of masking tape around the flexible coupling to stiffen it...

I know what you mean about theory, lost count of the jobs I've planned and prep'd for that should have taken 20 minutes but I've still been working on 4 hours later. Wow that looks incredible. Would be great to work on

Thanks for that. What I can't understand is that none of the wheel arches had dropped and it drove perfectly normally. A couple of people have said it could be a height sensor. What do you think? Thanks again

    Suspension compressor runs constantly

It's been snowing here today didn't fancy using wife's Mini so I pulled F26 and took the D3 out. Yellow suspension yellow light came on as I'd pulled the fuse. Everytime I went over 25 the light would go red and I'd get the "Don't exceed 30mph" message. When I dropped to 20mph the light would...

Hi gstuart, the readings this morning are: Driver front 460 Passenger front 48 Driver rear 500 Passenger rear 490 All the same apart from passenger rear which seems to have gone down by 5, could be my measuring error though. The only bit I think I've not checked on the compressor is the exhaust...

    Hi everyone

When I was running D1's I felt in control, it could be a chore but I felt that I could tackle most jobs. Like you say with the D3's there's so much that can go wrong that needs diagnostics.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it but I did the test before and the front end dropped all the way down. I then took the front valve block apart and thoroughly cleaned it. When I left the car for 2 days there was no movement at the front but the rear went down both sides about 4mm. This was with...

    Hi everyone

Thanks for the welcome, must admit my Disco 1's were much simpler even if I didn't realise it at the time. I'm confused enough at the moment lol.

No the compressor doesn't run with engine off, I've just checked and can't hear any hiss when I stop engine. I went straight round to compressor and couldn't hear any hissing. Also when the yellow warning light comes on the compressor usually goes off. I've just set it to normal height and...

Hi gstuart, I'm not sure whether it did or not. The reason I decided to overhaul it was that there was white powder in the front valve block so I wanted to change the dessicant and filters. Thought while I had it out it would be a good idea to replace the piston seal.
