No need to kid him - It's TRUE!!
I've got a few vid's that I'll get uploaded in a bit as well....
Hope you finally managed to get some sleep last night!!
Not sure which lane Fenworthy Down would be?? If you PM me some OS cord's I'll be able to tell you.
But if it's anywhere near Fernworthy Reservoir, then no we wouldn't have driven that yesterday.
There is a few green laning groups around Plymouth that are quite active, another one around Exeter and another one in East Devon - though they are all any marque vehicles and you get a lot of the young lads in their Zuk's which probably isn't what you want. I go out with a small group of Landy...
If I were you I'd take Trewey up on his offer and also just try and get out on your local lanes with a local group as much as you can. There are several groups around in Devon and Cornwall who are regularly out green laning and I'm sure most would have no problem with you tagging along with...
Yes thats the plan of attack that I, but effectively the circuit drawings just show fues No. 5 connecting to the Inertia Switch; Main Relay and ECM, so there are not many things i can actually check:(
Removing the multiplug from the inertia Switch and/or removing the main relay both stop the...
OK, taken the inertia switch off and pressing the button on top does nothing??
When I take off the rubber covering, and stick a screwdriver down inside I can lift what looks like 2 no. hinged metal plates up. When I reconnect the multiplug, the current stays at zero, but as soon as I press...
I have 0.33A (330mA) current measured against Fuse No. 5 in the fuse box under the drivers seat, this is causing the battery to slowly drain over a number of days.
If I use the landy every few days, its not a problem, but if I leave for more than about 5 days, then the battery will be down...
Can someone clarify what the arrangements are with the disc brakes on a 2003 defender 90.
ie: when you depress the brake pedal, should this cause the brakes to be applied to all 4 wheels equally?
or is there a bias towards the brakes on the front or rear wheels etc?
Its more likely to be for thicker materials as opposed to sheet metal.
Things like trasmission and suspension I would guess are the most likely things to fail (which could be rewelded) and prevent you carrying on???
Fortunately it wasn't my vehicle, but a mate who we were laning with. He was stuck in Second Gear.
I think the whole point of the original post was how you could carry out 'emergency repairs' with minimal equipment to get you going again. I don't really think carrying around tanks of gas is...
I read this thread a week or so ago and though that's really useful to know, but never thought I would actually need it.
But yesterday, when out green laning with a few mates this happened to the gear stick on one of the vehicles
We had plenty of batteries between us, plenty of jump...
