Hi James Thanks for your help. The LSF one has a flange on it http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/LSF100040L which is not like the original and the orginal looks like the UAM but a different colour: Sump Plug & Washer 300 TDi UAM2957L

The old one looks like the UAM2957L except is made of a silvery metal (alimunium?) and the new brass (product code on package is UAM2957L).

Have a D90 300 TDi (1996) with new galv chassis which I brought recently with the intention of gradually improving during my weekends. On my first job - changing the oil - I had problem getting sump plug out. Noticed the thread was damaged so ordered a new one through Paddocks using engine...

Sorry meant re-locate the switch positions but using Carling switches in Raptor console. Think I will follow your example with extending the wire loom. Now to find a supplier of the right coloured wires.......

Just brought a new Raptor console intending to move the standard switches (heated rear window, hazard, rear fog) use the existing wires where possible to my lately acquired D90 300Tdi Hard Top 1996. I read the threads on what to buy and types of console available and those who fitted them said...

After investigation it would seem the tyres are rubbing againt the radius arms - Disco wheels fitted to my D90! Seems I need some spacers not a new PAS!:D:doh:

When I go to full lock on either side of my 1995 D90 300 the steering shudders. Had a look at some older posts and the indications suggest a PAS pump on the way out or air in the system (or both). Any polite(ish) suggestion on trying to determine which please?

:D Problem solved! Poured cold water on the windscreen this mornng to test last nights sealant - windscreen cracked from top to bottom. AutoGlass on thier way!

Yup! I was coming to that conclusion. Just a bit of me says "I'm not going to be beaten by a bit of rubber and sealant". :scratching_chin:
