you might be lucky to get classic on a defender, the best bet for a cheap quote is put your mum on the policy, limit the milage as low as possible and if you are brave insure it third party only(dont really reccomend it just incase), putting the mother on took my imreza wrx from 2k down to 1200...

im not 100pc sure but the oil pressure switch on most engines are on the block usually with one wire sometimes 2 you can test the wiring of the oil pressure switch by earthing out the wire which should bring on the light which will rule out an electrical fault and only leaves a fault with the...

i rarely use an alignment tool, just go by feel on the lip of the pressure plate and driven plate
