    is it safe to run without one though james is more what im concerned about?, i found the photo of fitting the disco radiator so it may go that way

    got my s3 fitted with a 200tdi yesterday and i have a 90 radiator with the in built oil cooler but it seems to big and i would preffer to use the original series radiator is an oil cooler absolutely needed or can i plumb it out, i did see a thread on here where it showed some pics of finished...

    im putting a disco 200 into my 88 nothing overly difficult if you have a bit of mechanical competence, and the convertion is well documented on here and on the web

    dont give up its worth it for the freedom you gain even if you have a **** box for your first year to get your no claims up, take it easy too just because you have passed doesnt make you a good driver that takes time and experience ;)

    as i say thats the dodgy bit, fairly difficult to prove but one thing insurance companys like doing more than bum raping teenagers for being **** drivers is wriggling out of claims:)

    it was dodgy ten years ago when i first did it my dad "bought" and "owned" the vehicle which if i was asked he used it for work where the car was insured any driver under 25 but if you were caught doing this you could technically get done but it was down to them to prove it

    28 actually been driving 10 years, 10 yrs no claims and ive had a rake of fast cars and paid my dues so man up and pay it or walk ;)

    i know its fookin heart breaking mine went up from 96 to 100 quid because i got another 3 points on my licence 6 in total and they expect 100 quid a year bloody con artists:D

    fair point going by the crazy way insurance works it almost makes sense, i dont give a **** anyway my series is 100 quid a year fully comp with a 50 quid excess :D:D:p
