Looking to get an alarm and central locking fitting to the landy, anyone recommend a good auto electrician near Oxted? I don't fancy going to some random car radio/alarm installers...

Thanks for all the comments, TBH i am really looking for a drive in drive out service :).. The real question is do i spend the cash on upgrades to get the V8 upto a nice power output approx 200bhp or do i just take the jump and install another engine...

BTW, would a megasquit (i think thats it), be better than an efi setup, read that the efi is hard to get parts for and service...

I am looking at getting a bit more power mine is a 85 v8, amazing condition 12k on the clock!!! Its been looked after really well, but the 100ish bhp does not really cut it these days :), I don't really have a budget at the moment but trying to look for options...

Thanks, is that a big job? Anyone you would recommend to do the work in the south east, read on another forum about a ls engine crated over with gearbox etc all for 1500! Maybe that would be a better route

TBH, i dont care about it looking cool :), just trying to see if overtime the tech that has moved on could make a real difference to the running and power of the car, i don't mind throwing some ££, as i enjoy my landy, but it needs to have a real world benefit.

Thanks agree on the dash part, first job is new seats and maybe door cards. I do like the newer style rear bumper which is also a rear step, can the exterior parts just bolt on from newer versions ?

That could well be the case the guy mentioned it in the context of Rover V8 racing saying the first thing they did was swap the carbs and put a straight through exhaust on..

currently have a 3.5 V8 running SU carbs, any folks upgraded to the holier quads? Was told they should make a fair bit of difference..

Looking to update the inside of my 85 90, how many of the later car parts will just bolt on? I am looking at dash, door cards, seats etc.... Oh and if any folks are looking at selling some bits, please let me know :)

It has a few security features to immobilise, but looking for a way to notify e.g. alarm going off, maybe sms me, plus would be nice to get central locking..
