    low revs then stall

When I first had mine it would idle on petrol fine but on gas it would stop at about 3-400 rpm and stall, so at lights, roundabouts etc. It would drive fine but not idle. New Lambda sensor and all is well.

I'm sorry I'll read that again. How much!!!

No typo I'm afraid. That's what they want. Their concourse rebuild cost £72K - not sure what the other £10k is for. I imagine every part was replaced with new or completely rebuilt which could easily cost more. It would be interesting to know just how much of the original vehicle is left...

1979 Range Rover Classic 3 Door - Complete Nut & Bolt Restoration | Motor Cars For Sale | Graeme Hunt Ltd. I'm sure its lovely but that's just silly. No doubt it'll sell though.

Looking for Garage Swindon area for P38 Service

They need to be good for that. Steve Bull in Devizes who I use for another car charges £50 and they know exactly what they are doing for those cars. That amount is fine as long as there is no messing around and what they say will be done, is. Simon has a good reputation as long as he is...

    wheel nut caps

That's mad. Cars I've had with decent alloy wheels from new have ali nuts. A bit soft and occasionally you destroy a nut but you don't destry your wheels. Are there 27mm alloy/ali after market nuts around?

    wheel nut caps

That's interesting. I was expecting the locking ones to have covers but as has been said they are all loose so I assumed they were all covers. Again I assumed if I put a socket onto them I'd just rip them apart. Ah well you live and learn.

    Do you flash or wave?

All our cars seem to fall into the enthusiast sector so we tend to spend quite a lot of time waving on trips. Scooby lot tend to be the most enthusiastic. Have to say fellow classic owners in wilts can be a rather dour lot! If I saw another 21 on the road and I didn't know who it was I think I'd...

Thanks. I'll have another look but I think its missing.

    wheel nut caps

Ta, found those for sale. Should I have tools anywhere esle other than with my jack/spare wheel in the boot?

    wheel nut caps

My 94 LSE has caps on all the wheel nuts. Should I have a tool somewhere to remove them or is it just a case of taking a pair of pliers to them?

I only spoke to Swindon 4x4 just before xmas - he always seemed busy to me. Thanks for the info though, saves me wondering what is what when I can't reach them.

Looking for Garage Swindon area for P38 Service

You have a couple of options. Swindon 4x4 behind Dick Lovetts - I haven't had anything done there but they happily put my LSE on the ramp to look at the diff for me and suggested a couple of things. All FOC. Ridgeway 4x4 which is on the road between Wharf road (currently closed) in Wroughton...

    Need a new jack.

So I need a new jack. Currently have a fairly new 2.25 Halfords 4x4 (I know - never again) which I haven't dared use on the rangie as it seems to struggle with something at barely 1.5 tons - a corner not the whole thing. I have tried a Draper 59300 which is much much better but here's the catch...

    softdash??

You just feel for the mirror adjustment and press the button next to it. But it could be in a better spot!

    softdash??

I wasn't looking for a soft dash but got one anyway. Its certainly a more modern look and has airbags (if they still work!) which may come in handy one day. Perhaps not as classic but I'm happy. Can't be that many although reg date is nothing to go by as there seem to be plenty of 94 cars that...

    Lpg

These seem really low figures. I get about 200 miles from a 55 litre fill up of gas. Now that involves 10 mile journeys of which a mile will be on petrol so not entirely gas (about 95%) Over 200 and the gas runs out! 4.2 V8 single point system. I'm still happy with that as it equates to 30 ish...

Not a great day - more new problems than solved ones! Wet footwells - why??

Mike, Open the bonnet and find the welded seem on top of the inner wing - it makes a channel. Follow all the way back to the rear edge of the bonnet and under decker panel. There should be a half inch ish diameter pipe that appears out of the upper A panel - this is the sunroof pipe. I'll...

Not a great day - more new problems than solved ones! Wet footwells - why??

That's the stuff. It's far more liquid than mastic so fills small holes better before it sets. It was recommended to me as a replacement for a Comma product that they no longer make.
