I'm about to change mine and they're about £70 on fleabay, A one for the 1.8 petrol is about £40. I remember reading somewhere that the cylinder itself is the same part and only requires the pipe changing. Is this correct? Thanks,

Yes, prop is removed and car appears to be OK, VCU is at Bells. I'd hate to put the recon VCU on and this then highlights an existing problem with the IRD Thanks

Is it possible for an IRD to perform normally and not show any signs of being faulty when driven in 2WD mode which would become apparent in 4WD mode?

Bit disappointed but £3 delivered from eBay they were never gonna rival a lighthouse!

Apparently to 2000 were 30psi, after that are 26psi

Currently set on 2. The first test drive I did on 1 showed great improvement over standard, like driving a different car. Drove again on 5 and showed no real difference from 1. Rang Roverron and they said its probably down to the MAF. I've bought a Pierburg and will be fitting it at the weekend

I'd look at the wiring harness from the car to the door if nothing is working including the wiper etc
