Td5 - Plastic connector on fuel line to fuel regulator

Does anyone know if you can buy this connector without replacing the entire fuel line that runs to the pressure regulator from just in front of the rear axle? This one snapped while I was replacing the fuel tank pipe assembly (glued back together for the photos). It is 8mm both ends and there's...

3 amigos, I know, please read!!

Fully agree! I'm very lucky to have a good specialist just down the road from me.

3 amigos, I know, please read!!

Sounds like they've disturbed something like the wheel speed sensor. Mine is still OK 10,000 miles after replacing the ABS SVS switches (£70 fitted). They came on once and I found the front NS tyre was at half pressure.

3 amigos, I know, please read!!

Fingers crossed then. It's been 5 days now and I drove over 80 miles yesterday. It was the switches showing as the fault (114) on the diagnostic computer.

3 amigos, I know, please read!!

I've had the 3 amigos intermittently since last November. They could usually be reset by switching the ignition off and on. They got progressively persistent after Christmas to the point they would come on every time I drove more than about 15 miles in one journey. Finally got a mate to plug it...

    Sunroof drain tubes

If your seals are OK, you can probably get away with just sealing the frames to the roof (no idea why LR never sealed them in the first place). The seals are tricky to fit correctly and you have to make sure they are water tight. Make sure you use genuine ones. You should be able to get your...

    Sunroof drain tubes

They don't have drain tubes, which is why they leak into the cabin. I've fixed this on 2 of my past discos by replacing the seals and sealing the sunroof frames to the roof panel with black silicone. You can make a neat job of this if you use a very small nozzle and a small amount of silicone...

    squeaking from engine bay

Had similar on mine a while back. I thought it was belt squeal but it turned out to be the manifold gasket had blown.

    P38 Diesel starting problems

Mine started playing up a few weeks back. I changed the leak-off pipes between the injectors, but that didn't help (the old ones were about to split anyway, so worth doing). Decided it must be the glowplugs as it would start OK if only left for a few hours. Took it to my local specialist who...

Front Brakes Rattle ??? Help Please

They are anti-squeal shims for the rear......... Just bought my 3rd 300Tdi and guess what, the front pads rattle. They look like new so I fitted new pins and springs but it made no difference. On my last 300 I bought Delphi pads from DLS Land Rover on ebay. These didn't rattle, so maybe...

    disco in trouble!

I've attached a very rough sketch of the clip from memory. It fitted by pushing it onto the cable bracket, the slot to the rear is big enough for the cable retaining nut to fit into and the bent out 'tabs' on the other side push down behind the plastic cable adjuster wheel, stopping it from...

    disco in trouble!

I think I made it out of a car radio mounting bracket. Basically it pushed onto the top of the cable bracket and had a little 'tab' bent outwards to stop the plastic adjuster wheel turning itself. It worked perfectly I don't have that Disco any more so can't photograph it. Not very helpful is it?

Gear Stick Problem (Help / Advice Please)

I had the same problem on mine. There is a plate and 2 springs sitting at the base of the gearstick. The plate breaks causing the problem. Parts are available from LR dealers and will only cost you about a fiver for the plate and springs. It's fairly easy to do from inside the cab. You have to...

    TD5 GS 5-seat, 2002, what's it worth?

I'd say stick it on ebay with a reserve just above the trade-in price you've been given. If it doesn't go then the trade-in sounds reasonably fair to me (and a lot less hassle than selling privately). I asked for pricing advice on here when selling my old 300Tdi and got the same kind of answers...

    Bedfordshire Green Lanes

Went down the Steppingly lane at the weekend for the first time since swapping the Tdi for the Td5 (with a Td4 very briefly in between). Is it me or is the slope about halfway in getting steeper? Looks like several people have decided to take a route through the trees at this point to avoid the...
